Spirits in Bondage (SB)

A Cycle of Lyrics

Spirits in Bondage (1919) was Lewis’ first published work (originally published under the pseudonym Clive Hamilton, which is Lewis’ first name followed by his mother’s maiden name). Lewis was twenty years old and had just returned from military service in the First World War. Three settings of the work currently exist. It entered the public domain in 1994, and cataloging will only be done on the HC line of editions.
